About us

Solar Signs and Design started as a family business in 1972 and remains under the same management to this day. Based originally in Grimsby, we moved to Wold Farm, Nettleton in 1980. An unusual location for a sign business but from these premises we have produced signs that have reached destinations far and wide. Our customer base includes businesses both large and small, many district Councils and companies such as Conoco, Novartis, Anglian Water, Scania, North of Scotland Hydro Electric, Lindsey Oil Refinery and some such as the Australian Salvage and Towage companies Adsteam (Adelaide Steam), Howard Smith Towage and UK Leisure company Hoseasons Holidays we are proud to have supplied for over 35 years.

Our Choice for a rural base came from and interest in nature and conservation supplying many conservation groups such as The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, Dorset Naturalist Trust, Wiltshire Trust and others. The remaining 20 acres of land belonging to the farm is now run as a local wildlife reserve delighting and educating local school groups.

As screen printers, the range of signs and materials we use is as varied as you will find and too many to list. From the ultra durable glassfibre for extreme conditions to the cost effective fluted polypropylene ideal for construction site signs or estate agent 'for sale' boards. We offer our customers a service that is friendly, helpful and will always endeavour to give the best advice for the most suitable product for any requirement, from standard Health and Safety signs to a bespoke design service.

This site has been designed to make purchasing standard signs as easy as possible without burying them under unnecessary multiple web pages. Just select the category either from the twelve most used on the home page or browse all categories in the Online Catalogue. Alternatively use the search facility in the Online Catalogue to find all signs containing your keyword.
